From the moment you step in the doorway, our staff and sushi chefs will offer you a warm welcome. At this restaurant, you are not just another customer; you are a part of our family. Often times, you will not only get a tasty meal, but also enjoy a nice conversation with our owners, the sushi chefs, or our servers. Unlike many restaurants, we actually know most of our customers by name! As a small, family-owned, restaurant, many of our customers have been dining with us for years, visiting us two or sometimes three times a week. To show our appreciation for such loyal and valued customers, we provide our “regulars” with a beautiful set of labeled, wooden chopsticks. This personal set of chopsticks is stored in the restaurant and will be given to you each time you come to visit us. As our popularity has grown, we now have more than three hundred pair of chopsticks!
Our Master Sushi Chef, Shigeo, has more than forty years of experience. Born and raised in Japan, he provides each of our customers a taste of authentic, traditional Japanese sushi. For the true sushi enthusiast, we prepare weekly specials not often found at your local sushi bar. These dishes are specially selected to broaden your culinary horizons and allow you to experience traditional Japanese cuisine. Some of the dishes we have featured are aoyagi (live surf clam), hamachi kama (grilled yellowtail collar), and aji (a Japanese fish called “horse mackeral” in the United States).
For those who have yet to acquire a taste for uncooked fish, fish eggs, and seaweed, rest assured. We offer a wide variety of Asian entrees with influences from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai cuisine. We are truly an Asian bistro, bringing a taste of the East to the Brandon area.
